Missouri Department of ConservationTravis Uebinger of Auxvasse, caught a world-record blue sucker fish in January. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) The Missouri Department of Conservation announced a fish caught by Travis Uebinger of Auxvasse, set a world record. Uebinger caught an 11-pound, 5-ounce blue sucker on Jan. 15 at the Osage River, according to a press release. It's the first Missouri record broken this year. The previous record for a blue sucker in Missouri was 9 pounds, 14 ounces, which was caught in 1997 at the Missouri River.
