Jefferson City residents transfer between JeffTran buses at the Miller Street station. A recent bill passed by Missouri legislation approved $11.7 million total in transit funding from the state and is now awaiting approval from Gov. Mike Parson. The $11.7 million is an increase from last year's $8.7 million approved by the state for public transit. Katrina Williams, transportation planner for Jefferson City, said the city would receive about $67,000 from the state for 2024, about a 23 percent increase from last year's approximately $53,000.
