JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) The first major step was taken yesterday in a partnership that studies the flood risk in Jefferson City. The Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, and the state signed a cost-share agreement Monday for a study around mile 142 on the Missouri River. The study would offer flood risk and resiliency options specific for that area. This area has been impacted multiple times by flooding over two decades.  'The goal will be to find the best possible measures and strategies for this area,' Col.
